Contractor Allegedly Stole Over $1,000 of Daughter's Clothing; Only $200 Credit Offered
- Missing/Stolen Items
- Insufficient Coverage
- Inadequate Investigation
A customer says a Poplin contractor stole more than $1,000 worth of her daughter's clothing. She'd sent out laundry in multiple bags, and several bags came back missing, with the missing items specifically limited to her daughter's clothes rather than the rest of the order. A follow-up video compares photos of the bags she sent out to the bags she got back, showing the returned bags were noticeably smaller and fewer than what she'd sent. She says Poplin refused to identify or take action against the contractor despite footage and other proof she provided, instead siding with the contractor. She was initially led to believe she'd be reimbursed for the missing clothing, but was offered a $200-capped credit instead, and says Poplin told her that if she wanted further reimbursement she would need to file a police report, and that the company would coordinate with police directly from there. She also says Poplin blocked her on Instagram after she commented publicly about what happened.
